Kagan states that American Media has become pessimistic about the war and that we should just ride it out. He Says that they are spending too much time reporting about the negative and not enough discussing the positive. He Says that the Surge will Work and we will be fine in Iraq.

that is just silly. The media THRIVES on reporting "negetive" events, but the reason they report so much about that is because that is what gets people to watch. If everything was fine in the world why would people think they need to be informed.

The surge will NOT work in the long run which is really all that matters. The surge was just bushes only option because hes dug himself into such a hole, he cant admit hes wrong NOW of all times. "oh and btw america, these last 7 years have been a complete waste. BYE." That is essencialy what he would be saying by not doing anything.

Were fighting an enemy that has no geographical location. Sending in more "police" will make things quieter but it will not solve the problem. It shouldnt take a rocket scientist to figure that out.
